How to apply your press on nails!

(You can find plenty of tutorials on websites like YouTube or TikTok. Take a look around for some videos if you're having trouble!)

Here, I will briefly explain how to apply press ons using the things I provide with your order.

Each set of nails comes with a tool kit including a nail buffer, a mini nail file, a cuticle pusher, glue, and two alcohol pads. You also want to grab a set of nail clippers. (Additional things you can use include cuticle remover, cuticle clippers, a liquid dehydrator, and glue debonder. These items are not necessary to apply press ons, but can make your nails last longer if used properly. You can purchase them at your leisure.)

First, make sure your natural nails are free of any products, (things like dirt, debris, glue, gel polish, etc.) Wash and thoroughly dry your hands. Try to apply your nails at a time when you will not be getting them wet for a while, such as right before bed! This gives the glue sufficent time to set and dry.

Cut and file back the free edge of your nails like normal. If you don't want your natural nails to be peeking out from behind the press on, cut them as short as possible.

Use the cuticle pusher to gently push back your cuticles and remove any dead skin. Take care not to push too hard or too far. If there is a bit of skin hanging off, you can use your nail clippers to cut it. (Please be careful not to cut too close to your skin!)

Next, take the square buffer and gently buff the top of your nails. You'll want to get rid of the shine and add a bit of texture for the glue to grab on to. Use the alcohol pad to remove the dust and any remaining oil, (use one pad for each hand!)

Your prep is done! Before applying your glue, test each press on on your natural nail to make sure the press on does not need to be filed. If you need to, for example, flatten the bottom of the nail, use the mini file to get your desired shape and then wipe off any debris with an alcohol pad.

Apply your glue and press on one nail at a time. Cut the tube at an angle and make sure to cover your entire nail with glue to ensure a strong hold. Position the press on, and then press down firmly for 10 seconds. Repeat with each nail until you're done. If there is any glue remaining in the bottle, you can place the cap back on and stick the bottle in a zipper bag so it doesn't dry out.

Once your nails are on, try not to get your hands wet for 2 hours after. Avoid using your nails as tools, (don't use them to open soda cans or pick off stickers!) Try to wear gloves when washing dishes or using harsh chemicals.

And that's it! It may take a few attempts for you to get the technique down right, so don't give up! Each person has a different amount of oil production on their nails, so some things make work for you that don't work for others. Don't be afraid to experiment and try different methods to find what suits you best.

Enjoy! Don'ty forget to tap everything you see for that nice ASMR sound!

How to remove your press on nails!

An easy way to remove press on nails is to use a glue debonder. Create a small gap on the side betweenn your nail and the press on using the cuticle pusher and drip a small amount into the space. Slowly widen the gap and add more glue debonder until the press on lifts completely from your nail.

If you don't have a glue debonder, another method uses hot water, dish soap, and oil, (you can use any type of oil you have!) Mix liquid soap with hot water and oil and let your hand soak for about 10 minutes. Use the cuticle pusher to create a gap between the sides of your nail and the press on. Repeat this process, (keep adding hot water if it starts to cool down), until the press on lifts from your nail.

Now you're ready for your next design!
